Get Set for Work
The Get Set for Work initiative is managed by the Queensland Government Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation building participants’ self-esteem and confidence, preparing them for work.
As a provider of Get Set for Work in Townsville, JOB futures SEQ offers:
- Personal development and team-building activities to help learn the social skills necessary in the workforce
- Referral and links to support services for personal and social issues
- Help to improve literacy and numeracy
- Opportunities for work experience and hand-on development of vocational skills
- Job preparation, resume writing and interview skills
- Information about jobs and careers in the local area
- Opportunities to move on to work, traineeships and apprenticeships or other training
- Continued support after the program is completed to help stay in work, or finish training or further education
