Work for the Dole Activities


As a provider of Work for the Dole Activities, JOB futures SEQ creates and manages work experience activities providing facilities and services to not-for-profit organizations, local, state, or Australian Government agencies in Queensland.

Through Work for the Dole participants will work within a team on a group activity with other job seekers, or you could be individually placed with a host organization.

JOB futures SEQ Work for the Dole Activities will vary and may include opportunities to develop skills in:

  • Computing
  • Landscaping or gardening
  • Office or retail
  • Customer service
  • Hospitality
  • Woodworking, painting, decorating, metalworking or electrical testing
  • Maintenance of buildings
  • Restoring historic buildings
  • Recording local history
  • Helping members of the community e.g. the elderly, people with disability or children
  • Producing videos, websites or publicity materials

Participating in Work for the Dole Activities will increase your employability by giving you the experience and skills that employers are looking for.
